I missed once this weekend

From what I could remember. Other than that, I was hitting everything. I made not one, but two jumps in limit to take a shot and did well both times. As I usually play .50-1 and 1-2 PLO, I made jumps to 2-4 PLO and even 3-6 PLO and won at both. I know that I was running good, however, because I had a 3 day stint where I couldn't hit anything resulting in three losing sessions during the week. This weekend more than made up for those losses, though. What I need to do now is to keep playing like I have been and don't go on tilt or winner's tilt, for that matter. I think that happened on one of the days during the week, so I'm glad I recovered from that.

Finally a win today after three straight days in the red. According to excel, my standard deviation over the past 10 days is $756. YIKES.

It's nice when swings don't make me wince

I've stuck to mostly .50-1 PLO and a little 1-2 PLO lately. Four or five tabling can really make for some massive swings, and it's nice to be able to take them without worrying about cleaning out a limited account. I really should buy a new laptop with a bigger screen sometime, as the small screen I have now really gets cramped.

I finally played in the $215 Stars NLHE tournament today, which lasted about an hour. I dwindled down quickly and had 77 vs. KK. Oh well. There will be more tries in the future, live and learn.

After some time off, I'm back

I know exactly what happened to me. I started doing well, and got overly aggressive and didn't give all my attention to the games I was playing. Watching TV while playing is horrible for my concentration. I gave this all a lot of thought over the 8 days I gave up poker for Lent. So my laptop is now either in the dining room or kitchen now with no TV.

Oh, and I'm back above my yearly goal pace to $15,000 thanks to tournament wins on back to back days. The first one was Monday in a $10 PLO8 with 247 players, and the second was Tuesday in a deep stack PLO with 201 players. Damn this feels good.
