Well I'm bored as hell so what the hell, a blog.
I've played poker online for the last few years now. My game of choice is pot-limit omaha. I also play some limit hold 'em but not nearly to the extent that I play PLO. I also sit in a MTT once in a while too.
I stumbled upon PLO a few years ago on Paradise, not knowing much more than what I knew from the home games I've played most of my life. I remember my first time going bust on a $50 buy-in game, i had 89TQ suited to the queen in spades, and the flop was to the tune of x-6-7 with two spades. Not yet knowing the intricacies of PLO, I ended up shoving it all in not knowing whether to count my spades as outs or not. I lost the pot and later looked in the HH that my spades would have been good and that someone else shared my 89T. I didn't play any more PLO that day, but it was the beginning of a love for a new game besides the mainstream hold 'em.
Nowadays, I search for an engineering job as a recent graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in May '05. No engineering job yet, but still lookin'. When I'm not job searching, I'm trying to make ends meet with poker. Now anyone with any poker sense knows that this is a tough way to make an easy living, and after a few years in college doing this, I very much agree. There are good times and bad. You really have to learn to discipline yourself. A lot of times poker isn't fun, and when others ask me about those times, they think I'm crazy for doing what I'm doing. But for now, it's what I do.
Well no more time to blog, the sis needs to be picked up from work. Much more to come.
